What is the Quertant® Method?

WHEN CULTURE LEADS TO A METHOD

Psycho-Sensory Culture is based on the fundamental discovery of Georges Quertant that subjects with functional disorders are unable to normally see a “test image” in its objective reality, while unaffected subjects succeed in doing so.

The gentle and non-invasive teaching method created by Georges Quertant (a true visionary genius for his time) required 28 years of research between 1914 and 1942, based on the work of Claude Bernard, father of scientific medicine and founder of experimental medicine.

Officially recognized and approved by the Ministry of National Education in 1952 as an effective technique aimed at restoring nervous balance in a functionally impaired subject (i.e., without organic lesions), it is simple to present and use. Indeed, the method follows a playful and structured protocol through the observation of complex geometric test images. The subject’s ability to correctly distinguish the test image in its objective reality (without distorting it) establishes that neural connections can be recreated, with the ultimate goal of eliminating the neurofunctional disorder.

One Method, 3 domaines

In particular, it allows the detection of all neuro-functional disorders thanks to an objective measurement of the biological error, i.e. the type and rate of deregulation of the self-regulating centers of the base of the brain and the brainstem, by highlighting the close link which remains between deregulation of visual motor skills and deregulation of what are called the “3 major lifestyles”.

How does the Method Work?

Once detected, thanks to very high-precision optical devices, it is possible to analyze more than 6,000 eye movements and thus correct, if necessary, the faulty information transmitted to the brain.
“Through vision, we access unconscious, involuntary functions, as well as conscious, voluntary motor functions.”
